A Tokyo Summer in London

The London Summer Event Show is an award-winning exhibition hosted annually at Banking Hall. With this year's show inspired by (what would have been!) the Tokyo Summer Olympics I created an illustrated identity highlighting the three featured areas of the event, the bustling street life of Tokyo city, a tranquil sakura filled retreat, and torch of the Olympic village.

Each sign pictured in the street scene has a meaning in Kanji relating to the theme:

夏めく Beginning to look like summer
運動 Motion, exercise, sport
生 Life
ハッピー Happy, glad, delighted

Invitations were styled as a Japanese Kakura puzzle for guests to enter a prize draw.
